The draft should be fun this year with the cap going up, and also a few more buyouts used to clear up space for some teams. |

Why would a team trade away their number one centre who is also their captain. I dont understand why the Sens would do that. I will gladly take him on the Leafs |

Not likely, but if he is I would assume Byan Murray would want a #2 D-Man to pair up with Karlsson. |

Was the 70 million dollar projection premature then? Even at around 68 million, it allows for some more flexibility at least. |

yeah there was multiple reports in the last couple weeks that say maybe 68. The lower Canadian dollar has great effect on league revenues.
And it would offer more flexibility if teams weren't signing guys to stupid (frank)ing contracts still.... |

The Canadian dollar has come down... the original revenue projections didn't account for that. |

Kesler isnt going anywhere if the only team he will accept a trade to is Pittsburgh. They wont get value at all and you know they will just hang onto him. |

Edler and a 1st would be more in the ballpark. Preferably in 2015. |

Canucks are in no position to be trading first rounders in case you haven't noticed. I like Spezza, but he's not the right fit for this team right now. They need to get younger. |

Still no confirmed number. Saying likely within 2 mill of original estimate but they wont know until HRR all comes in. And its been well documented that some things (like the heritage classic for example) did not bring in the revenue expected. |

I really hope the Islanders buyout Josh Bailey. He has been a stiff his entire tenure on the island and I can't take him anymore. What an awful contract. Typical Garth move though.
